As it is world mental health awareness week I have been amazed by all of those supporting this magical day. Many who feel that they cannot talk to someone I truly hope that they feel that they can reach out.
We are all human, sometimes we need to take a step back and just think to yourself YOU CAN DO THIS!!!
We are not all born to be strong, but I tell you what the little strength we have together is a force to not be messed with! No one is alone in this world, no one should be alone in this world. We all have different emotions daily and not one person will experience the same day or the same emotions, but we can share our stories. It may be that no one has felt what you’re going through, but someone is there to land a hand…
So what I am trying to say is, if you want to cry – bloody cry!!!!!! It is not shameful to cry, it is not embarrassing to cry (just don’t do it everyday). Blow those cobwebs away, blow those dark clouds away and see the positives. As the image says, remember the sky cries sometimes, but guess what happens when you put some positivity with it…….
You can do anything if you put your mind to it.
Therefore if you are ever feeling like you just want to cry….. please do. Also maybe think about:
- talk to your best friends
- talk to your family members
- write down all the shitty things you feel in a blog, you never know someone may be having or have had the same emotions as you
- ask for help if you need it
- get a pillow and scream into it
- go for a walk, the fresh air will really do you good
- go for a drive, play your music, wind your window down and sing the place down
- take two minutes (yes 2 mins, 120 seconds) out of your life and visit this website –Do Nothing for Two Minutes
- Take a look at my “&chill” bit at the top and just drift away into a stress free area
- read a book
- Colour
- draw
- do some exercise (yes I know last thing on my mind too, hence why last on my list, im sure someone thinks of exercise first, damn you healthy people!)
Jessie J’s song ‘Who you are’ really sums it up for me. Remember to love yourself and be proud. There’s only one of you and you’re a magical star. Click on the image below and just really listen to the lyrics.
Ps contact me on Twitter/instagram/on here or via email if you need to talk.
I know a few close friends and very close family members who suffer from mental health conditions. You’re not alone.
You can blog away what bothers you and sometimes screaming on your screen is a good thing.
