Regrets, I’ve had a few….. sorry I’ve now got frank sinatra in my head haha. I do think we absolutely need to have regrets in our life. How can we learn from our mistakes, our misjudgement, and our history? That’s what makes us really isn’t it?
I absolutely do have a few regrets in life and some affected me in a big way.
So here we go:
My absolute biggest regret in life happened 10 years ago this year. My Grandad was so unwell with cancer and I was not feeling too great with a cold. I knew that if I hugged him I could have passed on my illness to him, as he was so very weak. I remember really wanting to hug him, but I couldn’t.
I therefore shook his hand, whilst I saw everyone else give him a hug…… my last image of him is sitting in his arm chair, gaunt, yellow and smiling away being cheeky.
That was the last time I saw him.
Please love your grandparents everyday.
I think one of the biggest regrets in life anyone can have is to not say how you feel about someone. Isn’t it weird how our lives could all be affected by just saying “I like you” or “you make me smile loads”. If only we had well, if only I had the balls.
I was too scared, too shallow and too nervous to say it. I wish I had the “fuck it” attitude as I did now.
When everyone thinks that two people should be together, isn’t it annoying that those two people cannot see it until it’s too too late.
Just grab the bull by its horns and go for it. What have you got to lose? You’ll never know.
I am a nice person, and I like to make people smile but that is to my detriment as well. A few “friends” in my life have walked over me, making me feel very small. I have been put in the middle and demanded (yes demanded) to chose a friend. Luckily I have superb friends that are absolutely loyal to me, and make me realise what life is living for.
If you have negative people in your life, you know who….. you honestly don’t need them.
Get rid. Grow up and get rid. You’ll honestly thank your past self.
So there you have it. They are my regrets.
Ps like my new signature? Lol.
