I saw this lovely little blog on the wonderful Jenny’s blog – jennyinneverland. As I haven’t blogged in a few weeks, I thought I would give this a go, as it’s something different for me to do!
Here it goes:
1. Describe your usual bedtime routine
Depending on the time on whether it’s a weekday or a weekend will depend on the routine. If it’s a work day, I will chill out in front of the tv, head upstairs around 11pm and remove my makeup, brush my teeth and get into bed. I will either listen to music with my headphones in or watch an episode of the latest show on Netflix.
To be honest, it’s usually Ru Paul’s Drag Race. I am obsessed, and I do not care. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve seen each series.
Oh also, you should ALWAYS before bed, look outside and look up. If you’re stressed, look at the stars and the moon, you will realise how insignificant your trouble are in this little world we live in.
You’re still alive. You still have love around you.
2. What are your favourite pyjamas?
To me pjs have got to be slouchy, loose and embarassing.
My fave bottoms are bright, bold and colourful covered in cartoon characters, with my top being a spaghetti strap.
I don’t like fleecy pjs. I get too hot!
3. What is your current bed time reading?
I don’t really read… in general. The last book I read was Sophie Kinsella’s ‘My Not So Perfect Life’s, and I couldn’t put it down.
4. What would I find on your bedside table?
I wish I had an exciting life haha, er, tissues, a a glass of water. Woohoo party!!
5. What scent makes you sleepy?
Lavender will make me sleepy, or fresh clean sheets. I mean, it takes me hours to get to sleep and I’ve never really thought of smells making me sleepy lol. Although if you take me out as a passenger at night in the front of a car, you will get me to sleep haha. Blame baby me.
6. What’s your usual bedtime and wake up time?
If it’s a week day, it will be 11pm and sleep st 1am ish. With this, I set my alarm for 6:30 and get up near 8 😂 I’m so awful.
If it’s a weekend, I will go to bed around 12 and get to sleep between 2am and 3am. Wake up time is between 10 and 1pm.
7. What are your top 3 bedtime products?
Firstly, I am awful at bedtime product routines. As long as I have my makeup off and teeth brushed then that’ll do me.
My top product has to be one of these 4 makeup remover towels. They were on sale in Tkmaxx and to be honest I haven’t looked back. I can’t believe why I had not use these before, I also am concerned how many wipes I used to use or cotton pads. Much better for the environment.
The second product would be the Soap & Glory heel genius. As part of my new years resolution, I wanted to look after my feet, so this little gem is the best.
8. What’s your most common sleeping position?
Due to medical reasons, I cannot lay on my left side and find it hard to lay on my right…which is a bloody pain (literally). I therefore always end up sleeping on my front, as I have my hands either under my pillow or under my chest. But I always end up with dead hands hahaha.
9. Do you have anything you like to take to bed?
But my mind says… food. Yes food. Chocolate, I love breakfast in bed and as it’s only me I don’t care haha!!
10. What’s your worst bedtime habit?
Definitely taking my phone to bed, and checking it. I really shouldn’t do that.
