A sunny day out

Where I live we have a number of events throughout the spring summer seasons which celebrate living in Kent.

Rochester is known for its various festivals; sweeps, dickens, the Santa run just to make a few!

A few weeks ago we took my Nan on a day out to the sweeps festival. The sweeps festival is an annual tradition full of music, dancing (Morris dancing especially!), family friendly fun and the odd costume and psychic/witches.

Here’s just a few photos from that day. Ps how adorable is my fan!!!

My favourite mascara: Maybelline Colossal Volume Express – Cats Eyes review

Hello you beautiful people.

I hope that you’re all okay. I’ve been meaning to dedicate a whole post to this amazing product for so long, I don’t know why I haven’t done it sooner!

I have tried and tested various mascara over the years, different brands, brushes, high end, low priced and I always  go back to the Maybelline Colossal Volume Express ‘Cat Eyes’.

This is my absolute favourite mascara.

Its one day out of many. Be happy.

Life is a bit of a struggle sometimes isnt it? We all put so much expectations on ourselves, we all strive to the best whether in personal life or work life, we all pit each other against each other, no matter how much you say you don’t. How and why did we become all so stressed?

If you remember the little things in life:

  • I am alive
  • I am breathing
  • I have love around me
  • I have a roof over my head
  • I have the love of family around me
  • I have the love of friends around me
  • I have food (even if they’re scraps) in the kitchen
  • I have got out of bed today

Anything else is extra, anything else is an award that someone else may not have been given that day.

Just remember next time you are feeling a bit down, you’ve got loads to look forward to. You may be having a bit of a shit day, but it really isnt a shit life, its 24 hours out of thousands upon thousands of ours in your life.

  • Laugh as much and as loud as you want
  • Wear what you want
  • Look like what you want to look
  • Love who you love
  • Eat all the chocolate you feel like (it’s going to go off otherwise!!)
  • Learn to relax (even check out my chill out zone https://loveyouandthem.com/chill/)

10 things I learnt about growing up

I am getting to the stage in life where either most of my friends are engaged, married, going to have babies, are parents or going through relationship breakups because they haven’t lasted since the start of their 20’s. I am in my late 20s now, and it is a bit of a strange age, for me personally I still feel like im 21 and it still feels as though I left Uni last year and not nearly 10 years ago. It made me realise what the hell have I learnt really, and what I could have said to myself all those years ago. Continue reading “10 things I learnt about growing up “
