As you know, well if you don’t know… I LOVE bit of nail art and if you havent seen my previous post >>> here <<< I am not in no way an expert, and I just like to experiment. I have so many nail varnishes its not good, hello and goodbye car and flat haha! I thought I would show you what I have been up to. The colours above I freaking loved!!! The white is a pearl colour from ciate (which is from their 2014 advent calender, I bought for a much cheaper price in TK MAXX!) and the green is actually a Rimmel one from Poundland 🙂 Continue reading “I love Nail Art – #bbloggers”
As you may be able to tell, I have not updated my blog in over a month. I kinda took a huge Christmas break from it, I had lots of things to write about but I kinda just did not want to do it. Yeah sorry about that! But, I thought hang on New Year, I used to LOVE blogging. It can be tough, but hey!
One of my ultimate favourite things to do is to paint my nails, I have previously done a post about this before >> have a look here << But over the christmas period, I believe that I changed my nails about 3/4 times a week. It got to the point people were asking what my nails looked like today at work.
I thought I would share them with you. Just like to let you know, I am not amazing at them, I am challenging myself more each time. 🙂 IF you do wish to follow them, you will see them pop up on Instagram under different tags lol.
My first is this beautiful hyper shine of Ted Baker coral. One of my favourite colours there are, it’s so summer filled and its so shiny as well! I love having a different ring finger (you’ll see this throughout the post!). Having gold and pink together, along with the white contrasts amazing with the pink.
Gold and pink seemed to have been a theme I went through. The Maybelline Colour Show is one of my favourite glitter nail varnishes, it stays on for days, has the most amazing shine. I used 3 different shades of pink offered by MUA. The middle finger is a gold shade.
These are my personal favourites. The nail varnish is actually from Poundland, in a deep red. I of course have included a matte finish to it and alongside this, I have used the glitter from the brilliant, seriously brilliant polish of Maybelline Colour Show in Rose Chic (seriously it’s the best thing ever!!)
I was so bored of the gloomy weather, that I thought I would sundeck out my nails. Full of pastel shades from many different nail varnishes. Always good to do this using your normal handwriting hand, until you have to do it on the other hand and it all goes tits up.
Barry M in lilac is my favourite go to nail polish. It never fails and it always brightens up my day when I put it on. Again I have used the lovely gold nail varnish, just to add some snazz to it all. hehe.
Another Poundland nailvarnish, it’s amazing how bright this is. I used a nail varnish techniques brush to add the black slashes onto the nails. Each nail as a contrasting blue/green alongside the black dots.
White nail varnish, alongside Rimmel Pop Art that was on sale. Unfortunately the Rimmel polish, I had to apply about 4 times in order to get all of the dots on. I also added glitter as well.
The black nail varnish is Poundland, literally needing 1 coat online. A gold chevron design with the Barry M lilac wedding ring finger 🙂
I seem to love a bit of purple, and I thought I would try and contrast in designs and shades. I love the idea of the white dot at the top of the chevron gold design, just brings your eye towards the line.
I am really not keen on red 🙂 But this is a glittery pinky/red, I do think that this lasted for a few hours. Again gold glitter.
I found the most amazing thing in TK Maxx, look at all of this and I got it for just over £20, therefore I thought I would try them out hehe. Here we go!:
I LOVE how wedding based this is. hehe. I love the idea of the added pearls on the thumb and wedding finger, the confetti within the nail varnish and it just looks like snow. So delicate.
I will be honest, I was trying out different things with this particular photo. They all came off within 15 minutes, as I thought it was too much. As you can see there are many different designs. Weirdly got quite a few likes on Instagram.
So there you go, all of my nails over the past 3 weeks. What do you think?
I think I may as well start off with what now seems a tradition – I am sorry I havent blogged in a while. Naughty girl. I thought I would take you through some of my favourite items of September. I have tried to keep an eye out on what I keep using and ive put together a group of photographs that I think have “made” my beauty September.
If you already follow my blog, you may already know that I love dry shampoo due to my beautiful oily hair that I have. Now I saw this in Superdrug and it caught my eye – 1. the colour and vibrancy of the packaging, but then oh hello a new dry shampoo to try out and it was at an introductory price. My first thought of this product when I put it on was “oh dear god this smells of cleaning fluids”, as you can see it doesnt have a “smell” scent, just “exclusive scent”. When applying it, unlike Bastiste shampoo its not a powerdry texture, it makes your hair wet. I thought great (!) My hair looks more greasy now than before!!
After about 30 seconds of thinking, I have wasted some money here – I thought brush your hair and see what happens. Let’s just say, I have not looked back and I do not think I will Bastiste again. The freshness that this product gives to your hair is amazing, its not thick, it doesnt make your hair feel like it has product on it as much as Bastiste aaaaaaaaaaaaand duh duh duh, NO WHITE MARKS!!! The smell after it’s dried is actually lovely, and I couldn’t help but smell my hair haha thinking oh thats a nice smell what is that!
Definitely recommend. Comes in 3 versions, Dry 0% (white can) and volume (which is an orange can)
I LOVE a good bargain and when amazing make up comes from Primark then it is being bought. This beaut of a lipstick was £1, that’s right £1. The pigmentation is amazing, it moisterises as it goes and it’s cute little packaging as well. Plus if you really didn’t want anyone to know you buy your make up from Primarky, they luckily don’t put “THIS IS A PRIMARK LIPSTICK” on the tube.
Here’s a little piccy of the shade of the lipstick, I love it. I am not used to shiny lipstick but this does have a slight matte finish to it. It is a lot brighter than the images shown, I did wear it on a night out and I felt so confident. Hehe! 😉 **teeth SLIGHTLY whitened, lipstick NOT edited**
Another crazy find in Primark, what’s with them at the moment! I saw these at the bottom of the pile of the make up remover pads – these are ex-foliating cleansing wipes. As you can see they have tiny little beads on each of the pads, and they are really effective, they remove the make up well and leave your face nice and smooth! Extra bonus – £1. Thank you Primarky.
I think I am about to say the sentence, I never thought I would ever ever say………. This is my ultimate favourite nail varnish. There I have said it. The reasons as to why I love this nail varnish. 1. the colour is beautiful, a gold shimmery, metallic colour. 2. the texture is not too bumpy, can look amazing whether its matte or shiny. 3, it never chips. 4. it only needs 2 coats. Maybelline Rose Chic.
I reviewed these in my last post <<< actually in my August Favourites and they are STILL my favourites. Bit miffed (how British haha) that I have lost the top to the yellow one. But they are just so good!! They don’t seem to be going down, again I still wish they were cheaper lol but theyre definitely a treat when I buy them.
Look Beauty Prime Perfect is great, its not too greasy/oily and it gives great coverage of the skin. You don’t need to apply too much of it. I only really use it on nights out, as when you’re dancing around too much, especially with lots of wine your skin can get rather hot!! It’s not too expensive either. Unfortunately my local Superdrug has got rid of Look Beauty and Beauty UK for that matter, I am not happy with them boo!
Another one that I reviewed back in my August favourites and as you can tell by the hole of doom in the middle, that I have been using this quite a bit. I still think its not AS good as Rimmel Stay Matte but it is a great alternative. Again good coverage, nice tint and it doesn’t have that “dusty” smell.
On another note, I have been trying to experiment further with my nail art. I do have more materials on order, as in foil to make pretty patterns. Therefore I thought I would show you my favourites from September.
As I had so much love for the Crystallize Rose Chic, I thought I would buy a different version – Nearly Black. Not my favourite but its great for Halloween theme. I also put Orange Sinful Nail Varnish on top of Nails Inc White (in order to bring out the colour), with a touch of spider 😉
First of all, pat on the back for amazing colours – why thank you (god im turning into Miranda). How PRETTY!! This is the Barry M Aquarium Nail Effects in aqnp8. Amazing to have, the colours are bright, bold and if you’re clever you can chose which ones go on your pinkies! The pink is NEON pink of Nails Inc. I got quite a few likes on Instagram for this…….. I loved it for, 15 minutes, until the pieces kept catching on EVERYTHING. Didnt matter how many top coats I put on, it wasn’t staying – therefore peeling happened. This is what happened 2 hours later.
The last nail varnish edit was using MUA Natural Days and Bright Pink, along with my favourite nail varnish Crystalize to try and edit heart balloons, with the tails spelling LOVE. I did a bit of a Karen from Mean Girls as in when you look at it, it basically says EVOL. Who wants to EVOL me LOL! tit.
My final favourite is a perfume, I had never bought this brand before Accesorize – of course I know of the brand. But I actually bought it on a whim, it was £18 I think lol from Savers and its better than the Boss Orange I bought for £30 earlier that month (no review needed, my mate has bought it off me lol)
I am not keen on those perfumes that are mega sweet, I like those with a tang to it and this definitely has that. You can still smell it after many hours. The scent name is Promise, and at £18 (roughly) for it’s biggest bottle, think I won in the end.
So there you have it my September favourites, what do you think?
Hello lovely people, I am trying my best to blog more but my stupid bedroom at the moment does not get internet and its just so much effort. So I am combining a few posts in the next coming days. This post is all about the beauty of nail varnishes and polishes, however you want to describe them. For many years at my old work, I was not allowed to have nail polish on my nails, as it interferred with the “food”…. I sold cigeretts and lottery tickets, where’s the food there?! Anyway, new job comes along and I was like THANK GOD I can now wear nail varnishes!! I have talked about my love of the nail varnish before……**hang on, throughout this I am going to swap between polish and varnish, I dont know which one is more correct** back to the sentence……. here’s the post I was having a natter about 🙂 . click here for info 🙂 oh and this one lol oh and er lol this one…
So this week, I have been watching a lot of nail art videos and looking at posts on Instagram. My friend tweeted me that I should follow an Instagram page, called – NailsVideos – and I thought hey we all start out as beginners, lets give this a go! Heres my week of changing my nails every day 🙂 I hope you enjoy 🙂
Hello I am back…. im such a bad blogger, I haven’t blogged in nearly 1 month *slaps wrists*. I will be posting about what I have been up to, as I have been up to quite a bit. But today, I thought I would blog about what I have been buying. Now considering, I am the type of girl who really doesn’t like to splurge on beauty products, I thought f**k it and I splurged. I did feel rather dirty doing it, and I hope to god that the money I spent on these products are worth it, as speaking to some staff members they were rather shocked about the nailvarnish I was wearing and especially where it was from.
First thing’s first, the nail varnish that you see in the photos is from brand “Jessie”, thats J-E-S-S-I-E not Essie, and it’s from Poundland. Absolutely love this colour and for £1 its an absolute bargain. Some come with me as I go through my lovely little buys.
